Educational Outreach Activities Beyond Campus

Educational Outreach Activities Beyond Campus

KMUTNB is committed to advancing lifelong learning and educational equity by extending its academic resources and expertise beyond the campus. The university undertakes outreach activities—including tailored lectures, demonstrations, and voluntary student-led programmes—in local schools and communities. These initiatives aim to stimulate interest in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) fields, build human capacity in underserved areas, and promote educational inclusion in line with SDG 4: Quality Education.

For example:

  • Faculty of Technical Education, KMUTNB.
PBL 2024 – Educational Outreach in Local Schools and Community.
The Faculty of Technical Education organized the PBL 2024 (Project-Based Learning) outreach event, engaging KMUTNB students in providing educational demonstrations and workshops for local schools. The program emphasized hands-on learning in science and engineering, allowing school students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world problems. This initiative also strengthened university-community collaboration and encouraged KMUTNB students to develop leadership, creativity, and social responsibility through volunteer teaching.

  • Institute for Technical Education Development (ITED), KMUTNB.
Community-based Technical Training for Schools and Local Communities.
The ITED organized short-term, ad hoc outreach sessions focused on technical skills development for teachers and students in surrounding communities. These sessions included hands-on demonstrations in robotics, basic electronics, and digital learning, promoting technical education accessibility and practical skills among non-university participants.
