KMUTNB is committed to fostering an inclusive academic community where all students, staff, and faculty—regardless of gender, socioeconomic status, nationality, disability, or other characteristics—are supported to succeed. To achieve this, the university implements a range of mentoring, counselling, and peer support programmes specifically designed to assist individuals from underrepresented and disadvantaged groups. KMUTNB, through the Student Counselling Office and the Human Resource Department, will establish a Mentoring and Support Network that pairs students, early-career faculty, and new staff members from underrepresented groups with experienced mentors. Mentors will provide academic, professional, and personal guidance, helping mentees navigate challenges related to their studies, research, or career development. Special attention will be given to women in science and engineering, first-generation university students, persons with disabilities, and international staff and students, ensuring that they have access to tailored mentorship and advice.
The Counselling Office will expand its well-being and mental health support services, offering one-on-one counselling sessions, and stress management workshops to help individuals cope with social, academic, or cultural adjustment difficulties. The office will also collaborate with external specialists and organizations to enhance psychological and disability-related support. To promote awareness and strengthen community engagement, the university will organize diversity and inclusion workshops, networking sessions, and storytelling forums, where participants can share experiences and build solidarity across groups. These events will be co-organized by the Student Union, faculty representatives, and the Diversity and Equality Committee, ensuring participation from all sectors of the university.
