KMUTNB actively participates in international collaborations to collect, analyze, and measure data relevant to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By partnering with universities, research institutes, and NGOs abroad, KMUTNB contributes to generating reliable data that can inform global and regional sustainable development strategies. These collaborations allow the university to exchange methodologies, adopt best practices, and ensure that data collection aligns with international standards.
For example, KMUTNB has engaged in joint research projects with partner universities in Southeast Asia and Europe to measure indicators related to energy efficiency, campus sustainability, and resource management. These projects involve coordinated SDG data collection on energy consumption, water usage, and recycling rates at different campuses. The resulting cross-country datasets enable comparative analyses and support policy recommendations for sustainable practices.
Another initiative is the organization of international workshops and seminars where KMUTNB hosts researchers and experts from partner institutions to develop standardized methods for SDG data collection. During these events, participants collaborate on designing measurement tools, testing data collection protocols, and ensuring that data is comparable across countries. Such workshops not only improve the quality of SDG data but also strengthen KMUTNB’s capacity to contribute to global SDG monitoring frameworks.
Additionally, KMUTNB supports fellowship programs and student-researcher exchanges that allow participants to engage directly in international data collection projects. For instance, students and young researchers are paired with counterparts in partner universities to implement field studies, analyze results, and present findings at international conferences. These experiences enhance technical skills, foster networks of SDG-focused researchers, and generate high-quality data to inform SDG-related decisions both locally and globally.
Through these activities, KMUTNB demonstrates a strong commitment to SDG 17—Partnerships for the Goals—by actively engaging in collaborative efforts that advance the measurement and understanding of sustainable development outcomes across borders.
For example:
- Dean of FITM, KMUTNB Prachinburi Campus, together with Asst. Prof. Supeeti Kulchan, welcomed professors from the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) and the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST). The visit included a tour of FITM’s facilities and fostered closer academic collaboration and friendship among leading Asian universities.

- The Faculty of Business and Industrial Development, KMUTNB, hosted a special lecture on “Asian Cultural Management” in collaboration with Ming Chi University of Technology, Taiwan. Dr. Pauline Yu-Tzu Lin served as the guest speaker, enhancing academic exchange and international collaboration between the two institutions.
