King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) is committed to reducing poverty through equitable access to higher education. The university sets an admission target to ensure that at least 10% of new undergraduate students come from low-income households, particularly those in the bottom 20% of the national income distribution (NESDC, 2024).
Financial support is provided through the KMUTNB Educational Opportunity Scholarship, Student Loan Fund (SLF), and Equitable Education Fund (EEF) to assist with tuition and living costs. KMUTNB also works with rural and underprivileged schools to promote access and readiness. The 2025 KMUTNB Syllabus Project further supports students from low-income and rural backgrounds through preparatory guidance and academic readiness activities.
These efforts demonstrate KMUTNB’s commitment to educational equality, poverty reduction, and social mobility through inclusive higher education.
