Employment Practice Appeal Process

 Employment Practice Appeal Process

KMUTNB is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and accountable workplace where all employees have the right to raise concerns regarding their employment conditions, including pay, benefits, or other employment rights. To ensure these concerns are addressed effectively, KMUTNB provides a structured appeal process accessible to all staff, faculty, and contractual employees.

In general, the payment scale of all employees will be evaluated every 6 months for promotion. Employees who believe their rights have been violated or who have concerns regarding pay, benefits, or other employment matters may submit a formal appeal in writing to the Human Resources Department. The appeal should clearly describe the issue, provide any supporting documentation, and outline any prior attempts to resolve the matter informally. Employees may also seek guidance from their department head, supervisor, or employee representative when submitting an appeal.

Upon receipt of an appeal, the Human Resources Department will acknowledge it within five working days and conduct a preliminary review to ensure that sufficient information has been provided. If necessary, additional details or documentation may be requested from the employee to facilitate a thorough assessment.

The Human Resources Department and Law department will conduct an investigation of the appeal. This includes reviewing documentation, interviewing relevant parties, and assessing the matter against KMUTNB policies, employment contracts, and legal requirements. The investigation will be conducted impartially and confidentially to ensure fairness and protect all parties involved.

Once the investigation is complete, the Human Resources Department will communicate the outcome to the employee in writing, including any decisions, corrective actions, or recommendations. Employees who are not satisfied with the outcome may request a further review by senior management or a designated appeal committee. KMUTNB is committed to resolving all appeals promptly, ensuring transparency, and upholding the rights and dignity of every employee.
