KMUTNB Accessibility to All

KMUTNB Accessibility to All

Accessible Facilities

KMUTNB is committed to creating a barrier-free and inclusive environment that ensures equal access to all university facilities for people with disabilities. The university continuously improves its physical infrastructure to comply with accessibility standards, ensuring that buildings, classrooms, laboratories, offices, dormitories, and public spaces are designed or modified to accommodate individuals with mobility, visual, hearing, or other disabilities. Ramps, elevators, tactile paving, handrails, and accessible restrooms are systematically installed and maintained in all main buildings and newly constructed areas. In addition, KMUTNB provides designated parking spaces with clear symbols for ease of navigation across the campus.

To further enhance accessibility, KMUTNB integrates Universal Design principles into all future campus development and renovation projects. The Facilities and Property Division (https://www.facebook.com/share/14WuVpk4pRe/?mibextid=wwXIfr)  regularly conducts accessibility audits to identify and address any physical or structural barriers. Feedback from students and staff with disabilities is actively collected and used to improve facility design and services. The university also collaborates with external experts and organizations that specialize in accessibility and inclusive design to ensure compliance with national regulations and international best practices. These continuous improvements support KMUTNB’s goal of fostering a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for everyone.

Disability Support Services

KMUTNB provides comprehensive support services for students and staff with disabilities to ensure equitable participation in academic, professional, and social activities. The Office of Student Development and Counselling Department, in collaboration with the Human Resource Department and academic faculties, offers personalized assistance to meet the specific needs of individuals with disabilities. This includes academic accommodations such as note-taking assistance, extended examination time, accessible learning materials, and priority registration for classes. The university also provides access to assistive technologies such as screen readers, speech-to-text software, and adapted laboratory equipment to support learning and research activities.

In addition to academic support, KMUTNB ensures that students and staff with disabilities receive appropriate counseling, health, and career guidance services. Trained personnel are available to provide psychological and social support, helping individuals adjust to university life and overcome barriers to participation. The university promotes awareness among faculty members and administrative staff through regular training on inclusive teaching practices and disability sensitivity to build understanding and empathy within the campus community.

Furthermore, KMUTNB encourages collaboration with government agencies, disability advocacy groups, and private organizations to enhance support mechanisms and expand opportunities for people with disabilities. Through these efforts, the university aims to ensure that all individuals—regardless of physical or sensory limitations—can fully engage in academic and professional life, thereby advancing inclusion, equality, and sustainability within the KMUTNB community.
