KMUTNB recognizes the importance of promoting diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and human rights within its academic and administrative community. To strengthen its commitment, the university has assigned a committee composed of representatives from the Human Resource Department, the Student Counselling Office, the Faculty Committee, and the Student Union—to oversee and implement policies and activities that promote a fair, inclusive, and respectful campus culture. The committee will serve as an advisory and coordinating body to the university administration, providing guidance on the integration of DEI principles into all aspects of university operations, including recruitment, teaching, research, and student life. It will meet regularly to review institutional practices, identify areas for improvement, and recommend policy updates in line with national and international standards on equality and human rights.
One of the key activities of the committee is to develop and implement seminars and workshops for faculty, staff, and students. These programs will include workshops on inclusive teaching methods, unconscious bias awareness, workplace equality, gender sensitivity, and respect for diversity in classrooms and offices.
In addition, the Diversity and Equality Committee will work with the Student Union and faculty representatives to establish feedback and reporting mechanisms where students and staff can confidentially raise concerns related to discrimination, harassment, or inequality. The committee will ensure that these cases are addressed promptly, fairly, and in accordance with university policy and Thai law.
