KMUTNB is dedicated to ensuring that people with disabilities have equal opportunities to study, work, and participate fully in all aspects of university life. In alignment with the Persons with Disabilities Empowerment Act B.E. 2550 (2007) and the university’s commitment to inclusion, KMUTNB has established a Disability Access Scheme that provides comprehensive and targeted support for students, staff, and visitors with disabilities.
Under this scheme, the Student Counselling Office and the Human Resource Department will jointly coordinate personalized mentoring and academic support programmes for students and staff with disabilities. Each participant will be paired with a trained mentor—either a faculty member or a peer supporter—who will assist in academic planning, problem-solving, and navigating university systems. The mentoring program will focus on building confidence, developing self-advocacy skills, and ensuring that individuals with disabilities can participate in learning and professional development on an equal basis with others.
In addition, KMUTNB will continue to improve physical accessibility and assistive technology provisions across the campus. This includes upgrading infrastructure such as ramps, elevators, tactile signage, and accessible restrooms, as well as providing assistive devices such as screen readers, and Braille printers. Finally, KMUTNB will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of its Disability Access Scheme annually. Feedback from students and staff with disabilities will guide continuous improvement, ensuring that services remain responsive and inclusive. Through these comprehensive activities, KMUTNB aims to build a fully accessible learning and working environment that empowers individuals with disabilities to achieve academic and professional success with dignity and independence.
