KMUTNB Employment, Innovation, and Economic Growth Policy

Policy on Ending Discrimination in the Workplace

KMUTNB is committed to promoting an inclusive, respectful, and equitable work environment for all employees, faculty, staff, and students. The university strictly prohibits any form of discrimination based on race, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, ethnic origin, or refugee status. This policy is aligned with the policy announced by Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), Thailand.  All employment practices — including recruitment, promotion, compensation, and professional development — shall be conducted based on merit, competence, and fairness. KMUTNB also encourages awareness and training programs to ensure that all members of the university community understand and uphold principles of equality and respect in the workplace.

Policy Commitment Against Forced Labour, Modern Slavery, Human Trafficking, and Child Labour

KMUTNB upholds the highest ethical and human rights standards in all its operations. The university maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward forced labour, modern slavery, human trafficking, and child labour. This policy is aligned with the policy announced by Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), Thailand. All employees, contractors, and partners must adhere to legal and ethical labour standards as defined by Thai labour laws and international conventions. The university ensures that employment is voluntary and freely chosen, and that no staff member or contractor is subjected to coercion or exploitation. Periodic reviews and supplier audits may be conducted to verify compliance with this policy.

Policy on Pay Scale Equity

KMUTNB is committed to achieving fairness and transparency in compensation practices across all employment levels. The university ensures that all staff and faculty members receive equitable pay for work of equal value, regardless of gender, age, or personal background. Recruitment and promotion decisions are based solely on qualifications, experience, and performance. The university will continue to improve compensation structures to ensure pay equity and to align with best practices in higher education employment.

To strengthen accountability and transparency, KMUTNB regularly monitors and assesses pay scale data to identify and address any gender pay gaps. The Human Resources Division shall conduct periodic reviews and report findings to the university administration to ensure continuous improvement toward gender equity. Corrective measures, including salary adjustments or policy revisions, will be implemented when inequities are identified. This monitoring process reflects KMUTNB’s commitment to fair and inclusive employment under the principles of Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG 8).
