KMUTNB acknowledges the value of student representation in fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and participatory academic community. Accordingly, the University formally recognises the existence and role of an Independent Student Union (ISU), elected by the student body, that will serve as the legitimate voice of undergraduate and graduate students in university governance and student‑affairs matters. Currently there are 41 student unions/clubs in KMUTNB in different themes of interest from academic, social service, sports and cultures.
The ISU shall operate autonomously, with procedures for election and term of office clearly defined and administered in accordance with the KMUTNB Student Acts available at the University’s official platform. The Student Union will receive support and access to university administrative channels to ensure it can legitimately consult, advise and collaborate on issues such as student welfare, academic quality, campus life, and policy formation.
KMUTNB commits to ensuring that the ISU is invited to and appropriately represented on key university committees, such as those relating to student services, campus environment, and academic governance, thereby giving student perspectives a direct and meaningful role in decision‑making. The University will ensure that the rights and obligations of the Student Union are respected, including freedom to organise student‑led activities, publish communications, and engage with the broader student body, while operating within the frameworks of the University regulations and Thai higher education law.
By embracing this principle of student representation, KMUTNB aims to enhance transparency, accountability and shared governance, thereby strengthening its mission of nurturing engaged, responsible graduates who contribute not only academically but also as active citizens of the University community.
For example:
- FITM staff and students participate in the floral tribute ceremony at the King Rama IV Monument, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, Prachinburi Campus.

- The KMUTNB Graduate Student Council is an organization focused on organizing activities that maximize benefits for graduate students. It represents graduate students in collaborating with the university to ensure activities provide the greatest value and impact.
