KMUTNB advice and partnership for policy guidance

King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) actively contributes expert knowledge and policy guidance to support local, regional, and national government decision-making. Faculty members and researchers provide evidence-based advice through participation in government committees, advisory panels, and specialized research projects. For example, in 2024, KMUTNB researchers conducted a commissioned study on the feasibility and impact of establishing a Thailand-MERCOSUR Free Trade Agreement, funded by the Department of International Trade Negotiations, providing critical policy recommendations to inform government trade strategies.

In addition, KMUTNB undertakes evaluations of publicly funded programs to inform government and institutional planning. In 2024, the university’s research team assessed the outcomes and impacts of projects under 100 million THB funded by the Fundamental Fund (FF), generating evidence to support effective allocation of government research funding. Through these activities, KMUTNB ensures that its technical expertise and scholarly research directly contribute to national development, public policy formation, and informed governance across multiple sectors.
