King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) is committed to fostering diversity, inclusion, and gender equality across all academic disciplines. Recognizing that women continue to be underrepresented in certain fields—particularly in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)—the University has established a policy to actively encourage and support women’s applications and participation in these areas. This policy aligns with the University’s mission to create an inclusive academic environment where all individuals have equal opportunities to learn, innovate, and lead.
KMUTNB seeks to increase the participation of women in underrepresented subjects by promoting awareness and accessibility through targeted outreach and recruitment programs. The University will organize career guidance sessions, workshops, and open house events to inspire young women to pursue studies in engineering, technology, and applied sciences. Collaboration with schools, industry partners, and alumni networks will be strengthened to provide female students with role models, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to successful women professionals in technical fields.
To ensure an equitable admission process, KMUTNB will continue to review and adapt its recruitment strategies to eliminate any potential barriers that may discourage women’s participation. This includes offering scholarships, preparatory courses, and bridging programs designed to build confidence and strengthen foundational skills for female students entering technical disciplines. The University also supports the establishment of women-led student organizations, research initiatives, and leadership programs to empower women throughout their academic journey.
Furthermore, KMUTNB will integrate gender sensitivity and inclusivity into its academic and administrative policies, promoting a campus culture that values respect, diversity, and equal opportunity. Faculty members and administrators will be encouraged to support women students through mentoring, research collaboration, and inclusive teaching practices. Through these ongoing efforts, KMUTNB aims to create a supportive environment that not only attracts more women to underrepresented fields but also ensures their long-term success and contribution to national and global development.
