KMUTNB is committed to promoting equal access to higher education and employment opportunities for all, ensuring diversity and inclusivity within its academic community. The university recognizes that certain groups—such as ethnic minorities, low-income students, non-traditional learners, women, LGBT individuals, persons with disabilities, and newly settled refugees—may face barriers to access and participation. To address these challenges, KMUTNB implements structured activities to measure, track, and enhance opportunities for these underrepresented groups.
To ensure equitable access, KMUTNB establishes a data collection and monitoring system by Academic affair department and Human resource department to measure applications, admissions, and enrollment trends among underrepresented and potentially underrepresented groups. The Academic affair department and Human resource department will collaborate to collect demographic data voluntarily provided by applicants while ensuring privacy and confidentiality. This data will be analyzed annually to identify patterns or gaps in representation, helping the university design policies and interventions to improve accessibility and inclusion. Regular reports will be presented to the University Council and shared with relevant departments to inform recruitment and support strategies.
KMUTNB will also develop targeted outreach and awareness programs to encourage applications from students in disadvantaged backgrounds. This includes partnering with rural and low-income schools, mentorship, and scholarship information sessions. The university will organize open-house events designed specifically for students from underrepresented communities, highlighting academic programs, financial aid opportunities, and support services available on campus. These activities aim to inspire confidence and motivation among potential applicants to pursue higher education at KMUTNB.
For recruitment of students, staff, and faculty, KMUTNB will implement inclusive recruitment initiatives. Job postings and scholarship announcements will be disseminated through diverse communication channels to reach broader audiences, including networks that serve minority and disadvantaged communities. The Human Resource Department will ensure that selection and hiring processes are transparent, bias-free, and based on merit while encouraging participation from women, persons with disabilities, international professionals, and other underrepresented groups.
Additionally, the university will establish mentorship and support programs at Counselling Office (https://www.facebook.com/guidanceKMUTNB/?locale=th_TH) to help newly admitted students and staff from these groups integrate successfully into the academic environment. This includes orientation sessions, peer mentoring, and access to counseling and career development services tailored to diverse needs. KMUTNB will also provide training for faculty and administrators to enhance awareness and sensitivity toward diversity, equity, and inclusion issues, creating a supportive and respectful environment for all.
