KMUTNB Remote Working and Flexible Work Arrangement Activities

King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) promotes environmentally sustainable and inclusive working practices through the implementation of remote working and flexible work arrangements. The university encourages departments and offices to adopt telecommuting as a standard practice where job functions permit, particularly for administrative, academic, and research positions that can be performed effectively online. Employees are provided with secure digital tools and communication platforms such as cloud-based document management, video conferencing systems, and online task-tracking software to ensure efficiency and collaboration while working remotely.

Additionally, KMUTNB supports a condensed working week or hybrid work model to reduce the frequency of commuting, thereby lowering transportation-related carbon emissions and improving employees’ work-life balance. Guidelines for remote work are integrated into the university’s human resource management policy to ensure equity, accountability, and productivity across all units. Training sessions and workshops are conducted to help staff adapt to online work systems, maintain cybersecurity, and sustain effective team communication.
