Local Biodiversity Included in Planning and Development

King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) is committed to incorporating local biodiversity considerations into all stages of campus planning, development, and construction. This policy ensures that new infrastructure projects, renovations, and landscape developments are designed and implemented in harmony with the surrounding natural environment, preserving the ecological integrity of the area and minimizing negative impacts on native flora and fauna. Before the initiation of any construction or major development project, the university will conduct a biodiversity impact assessment to identify species, habitats, and ecological features that could be affected. The assessment will inform planning decisions, ensuring that land use, building design, and site management strategies prioritize biodiversity protection. This includes maintaining natural green corridors, preserving mature trees, integrating native plant species in landscaping, and safeguarding habitats that support local wildlife.
