Mental Health Support for Staff

Mental Health Support for Staff

KMUTNB recognises that the mental health and well-being of its staff members are essential for a productive, healthy and supportive workplace. The university commits to providing equitable access to mental health support services for all personnel, including academic staff, administrative staff and contracted workers. These services will include:

  • Confidential counselling for stress, anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns.
  • Awareness and prevention programmes, such as workshops on resilience, work-life balance and coping skills.
  • Peer-support networks or staff-wellbeing groups that enable mutual support and early intervention.
  • Access to professional mental health resources (referrals, assessments, therapy) through the University Health Service and partner organisations.

By implementing this policy, KMUTNB aims to foster a work environment that values psychological safety, supports staff in maintaining their mental health, and thereby enhances overall institutional effectiveness and staff satisfaction.
