King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) organises and supports events designed to promote the conservation and sustainable use of oceans, seas, lakes, rivers and marine resources. The university integrates environmental stewardship into its academic, research, and community engagement activities to raise awareness of the importance of protecting water ecosystems.
One notable example is the aquatic species release activity organized by the Faculty of Technical Education during its workshop and study visit under the theme “55 Years of Technical Education: Uniting Forces Toward a Sustainable Future” at the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park in Cha-am, Phetchaburi Province. The event encouraged participants—including faculty members, students, and staff—to engage in practical conservation efforts by releasing aquatic animals to restore local ecosystems and maintain biodiversity.

From June 19 to 21, 2024, the Faculty of Technical Education, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), organized a workshop and study visit under the theme “55 Years of Technical Education: Uniting Forces Toward a Sustainable Future” at the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park, Cha-am District, Phetchaburi Province, and Wora Bura Hua Hin Resort & Spa, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. Activities included the release of aquatic animals at the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park, executive presentations, team-building activities, and a special lecture by Assistant Professor Dr. Kritchai Sriboonma, Vice President for University Sustainability Development at KMUTNB. The seminar also featured brainstorming sessions and group discussions at both departmental and administrative levels, providing a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and formulating strategies to guide the Faculty of Technical Education toward a sustainable future.
