Student Success and Completion for Low-Income Households (Bottom Financial Quintile)

King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) is committed to ensuring academic success and completion for students from low-income households, particularly those in the bottom 20% of the national income distribution as identified by the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC). The university has set a target to achieve a graduation rate of at least 85% among students in this group by providing continuous financial, academic, and social support throughout their studies.

Support mechanisms include the KMUTNB Educational Opportunity Scholarship, the Student Loan Fund (SLF), and the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), along with mentoring programs, academic tutoring, mental health counseling, and on-campus employment opportunities. These initiatives aim to reduce dropout rates linked to financial hardship and promote equal opportunities for academic success and sustainable livelihoods after graduation.
