Based on the events from Faculty of Industrial Technology and Management, KMUTNB (FITM) and Faculty of Technical Education, KMUTNB (FTE), focused on organising activities to support sustainable land use, conservation and wise utilisation of terrestrial ecosystems. At FITM, a notable event was organised to champion sustainable land use and conservation in the region. Faculty members, students and local stakeholders collaborated to plan and execute an activity that emphasised the value of wild land and forested areas, recognising them as critical ecosystems for biodiversity, water regulation and long-term resource resilience. Through workshops, field visits and hands-on planting or restoration tasks, participants deepened their understanding of how land degradation and forest loss undermine ecosystem services, and they committed to supporting community-based stewardship of these terrestrial areas. This initiative reflects FITM’s dedication to integrating environmental awareness into technical and industrial education, promoting the message that sustainable land use is essential to the welfare of both people and the planet.
Likewise, FTE organised and supported an event aimed at preserving and sustainably utilising land and forest ecosystems. The faculty invited experts, facilitated brainstorming sessions, and engaged students in site visits and participatory activities such as tree planting, soil stabilisation and demonstration of methods to prevent land degradation. The goal was to raise awareness within the university and the wider community about the importance of forest cover, wild land protection and the sustainable management of land resources — aligning with global frameworks like SDG 15 Life on Land. Through these activities, FTE fosters a culture of responsible land stewardship among future technical educators and community members alike, preparing them to be leaders in sustainable land management.
