University Facility Access for Local Agriculture & Food Producers

King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) affirms its commitment to strengthening local food systems and promoting sustainable agriculture by enabling access for community farmers and food producers to essential university resources. The institution provides access to its cutting-edge analytical laboratories, high-precision instrumentation and plant stock resources at the Scientific Instrument and Analytical Testing Center (SIATC), Faculty of Science, Energy and Environment (Rayong Campus) for various applications, for example detection of contaminants in food products or quality control samplings.

By making these facilities available, KMUTNB offers local producers unique opportunities to conduct soil analyses, test environmental samples, access expertise in plant-based production and apply advanced technologies to improve crop yield, identify nutrient deficiencies, reduce post-harvest losses and adopt climate-smart practices. This programme supports the university’s role as a resource hub for regional agricultural innovation, thereby contributing to the global goal of ensuring sustainable food production systems and enhancing food security.
