Waste Tracking: Measuring Waste Generation and Recycling Across the University

King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) is committed to reducing its environmental impact by systematically measuring and managing the amount of waste generated and recycled across the campus. This initiative supports the university’s sustainability goals and aligns with SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.

For example:

  • KMUTNB has implemented a color-coded waste bin system: Green for organic waste, Blue for inorganic and general waste, and Yellow for recyclable materials. Green KMUTNB
  • The university collaborates with external organizations to collect and repurpose used plastic bottles and cups, transforming them into new products such as monk robes, thereby promoting recycling and waste reduction.

  • KMUTNB has established six designated waste separation points on the 5th floor, each clearly labeled to encourage proper disposal and enhance recycling efforts. มจพ. เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ
